A life behind bars!
Benefits of a life behind bars.
No we are not talking about the justice system or a life behind prison bars. But a life behind the handlebars of a mountain bike. What makes us happy about mountainbiking?
There are so many benefits from mountain biking that I have loved over the years
mainly been the social circle of friends, people you meet and shredding your favorite trail with.
Sharing your passion of the sport amongst friends family and the community shows you are living in the now and encourages them to have a good time and reap the benefits and enjoy the great outdoors and get some vital vitamin D.
We all know that exercise releases the hormone oxytocin. This magical chemical in our brains makes us feel good increases our communication,
mental state, lowers stress levels, controls our emotional well-being and increases the love of what we really enjoy doing. In this case mountain biking. But it could be any sport or exercise or even sharing your passion.
Recently I have been spending a lot of time focusing on some fitness goals to improve my overall mental well-being and emotional state. Cycling, hiking and now it's winter, snowboarding are a big part of these fitness goals.
I am also happy knowing I have good family, friends, mentors and a great personal trainer who have helped me with these goals! Not just in fitness and the sport of mountain biking but all aspects of one's well-being.
So I encourage you if you are feeling down stressed or have the winter blues get out on the bike, be it with friends your dog if you have a trail dog that is or a solo ride it will release the magic of oxytocin and place you in a much better frame of mind.
But what I say is really important share the passion and stoke and let people know how it makes you feel.
So go live a life behind some bars of a mountain bike and start feeling and living more.
